Who we are
Brisas Cruzadas Peritagens, is a Marine and Cargo Survey company, based in Lisbon, Portugal and services predominantly the Portuguese and Iberian Peninsula markets but accepts assignments anywhere in Europe or any other point of the compass. Typically our clients include Cargo, Hull and Machinery and Commercial Insurance Underwriters and Brokers as well as Commodity Traders, Vessel and General Cargo owners/receivers as well as P&I Clubs.
The company was founded in 2011 for the specific purpose of complementing our existing company located in Maputo, Allied Cargo Services Lda. Originally Brisas Cruzadas existed merely to provide a select number of our clients with a turnkey service for project and repeat cargoes where we attended to the loading in one port in Portugal or greater Europe and discharge in a Mozambican port or vice a versa. In 2017 we resolved to enter the European market and offer clients not only complementary services for project cargoes coming to East Africa and Mozambique in particular but also to operate in European ports for our existing clients as well as prospective clients.

Our Profile
Founded June 2011 and headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, the company brings to the market surveyors experienced both in Marine and Cargo surveys with a combined total of 45 years in a wide range of surveys, loss/damage investigations and experience in a wide variety of cargoes from grains, cereals, pulses and grasses to Minerals including iron ore, ferro chrome and coal to name a few. In addition, we also have significant experience in general and breakbulk cargoes as well as bagged cargoes and project cargo.
Our company currently has two full time qualified and experienced principal Surveyors, one of whom is a Master Mariner with more than 25 years Marine and Dry Dock experience and the other a Cargo Surveyor with 20 years’ experience in surveying, risk management, logistics, claims management and handling. As we grow we will be expanding our staff complement to meet our client’s requirements.
